Group Rides

Ride your Onewheel with other off-road enthusiasts.

The famous and much appreciated Group Rides

Our coaches frequently organise “Group Rides” for participants at levels ranging from novice to intermediate who can maintain a good cruising speed. Of course, enthusiasts and other experienced participants are also welcome at our group rides.

Joining a group ride is an opportunity to train with fellow riders in a relaxed atmosphere: you’ll be supported and encouraged from the outset, you’ll gain experience, and you’ll be more confident riding on different types of surface.

And if you don’t have any equipment, you can hire a board from our team specifically for the duration of the tour (NB: booking in advance required).
Check here for more info on Onewheel rentals (see the "Beginner" Pack).

How a group ride works

Each group ride normally unfolds as follows:

  • The date and venue are announced in advance in the dedicated WhatsApp group (i.e. "Flowwolf Rides - Brussels Area").
  • Attendees confirm their participation so we can assess the number of riders and the experience levels among the group.
  • Participation is free of charge unless a rental or an initiation was requested.
  • On the day of the group ride, newcomers are given a short safety briefing. It is important to keep in mind that riders participate at their own risk.
  • The length of the route is confirmed by the group ride leader based on :
    • the weather and riding conditions
    • the experience mix of the participants
    • the range capacity of the different boards
  • The type of terrain is usually predominantly off-road (tracks, gravel, grass, cobble stones).

The aim is to ride in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with other riders who share the same passion and enjoy the same kind of group rides.

What type of clothing and equipment do I need?

Participants in group rides are required to wear at least a helmet. Knee pads, elbow pads and/or wrist guards are warmly recommended. It is possible to hire a Onewheel board and protection gear for the duration of the group ride.

We advise you to wear trousers to minimise the risk of scratches, should you fall off the board or ride next to or through some bushes.

Although Onewheel riding is fairly safe, it is important to remain cautious and to prioritise safety. As the saying goes: "Better safe than sorry". If you plan to go riding off-road often and like speed and jumps, wearing a full-face helmet is recommended.
